As a Team Lead / Principal Backend Engineer at EPCVIP, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our Symfony-based PHP projects to success. You'll lead by example, developing sophisticated technical solutions while nurturing the growth and expertise of your team members. Your leadership will ensure not only the delivery of high-quality code but also the professional development of our developers.



Responsibilities:

  •  Spearhead the development of projects built on PHP/Symfony, actively engaging in business requirements meetings.
  • Analyze requirements to inform project planning and technical decision-making.
  • Craft high-quality, detailed designs and code, setting a standard for the team.
  • Guide both senior and mid-level developers in defining application functions and building objectives.
  • Lead automated unit testing initiatives, ensuring robust and reliable code.
  • Proactively identify project risks and devise effective mitigation strategies.
  • Uphold and advocate for coding standards and best practices to guarantee quality.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and contribute strategically to the overall technical direction of the project.
  • Mentor team members, providing constructive feedback on their work and aiding in their professional development.
  • Resolve complex problems collaboratively within the project team.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing project progress and outcomes.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to align on projects and objectives, fostering a collaborative and transparent work environment.

Job requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of extensive experience in PHP development, with a deep understanding of the Symfony framework.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Proficient in Agile Development Methodologies.
  • Strong foundation in database design and optimization.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of mentoring and developing teams.
  • Effective organizational and time-management skills.
  • Adept at both analytical thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Knowledge of Python is a significant advantage.
